The design of the bearings in bearing units is based on well-established bearing series 62 and 63. SKF manufactures several series that differ in terms of mounting to the shaft. The bearings are single-row deep groove ball bearings with seals on both sides and a spherical outer ring surface.

The UC bearing has two retaining screws in the inner ring. These are suitable for bearing arrangements where the direction of rotation varies. The inner ring is extended on both sides, and the outer ring has standard lubrication holes on two sides.
