Oil Only absorbent boom features a UV-protected polypropylene mesh and a spunbond inner layer that enhances strength and provides excellent liquid retention capability. The PP mass filler ensures maximum absorption capacity. The carabiner hooks at the ends of the boom and the support rope runs through the boom.

The absorption power of the boom is at least 185L per 10m boom. The absorption capacity of the booms significantly depends on the viscosity and temperature of the liquid being absorbed. The stainless steel carabiners have a tensile strength of 4kN (400kg) for connecting them together. The tensile strength of the boom rope is 5.1kN (510kg). It can be stored in cold conditions. The boom type with a protective fabric is also suitable for winter use and remains mechanically durable. In winter, it is essential to occasionally shake the booms on-site to remove ice from the fabric's surface. If an ice layer forms on the surface of the boom fabric, it acts as a blockade and absorption efficiency is lost. The oil absorbent booms have lasting UV protection and do not easily release oil. The material of the boom is water-repellent and buoyant polypropylene.
