Needle bushings
Drawn cup needle roller bearings are needle bearings with a thin outer ring pressed from steel sheets. They are characterized by low cross-sectional height and high load-bearing capacity. Drawn cup needle rollers are mainly used when very compact and economical bearings are desired, but where the housing seat cannot act as a raceway for the needle roller cage. The bearings must be installed in the housing with a stress fitting. If axial fastening by means of shoulders, flanged rings, etc. is not needed, the structure of the bearing housing stays simple and inexpensive.

Drawn cup needle rollers are usually used without an inner ring. In cases where the axle line cannot be hardened and machined by grinding, inner rings (IR) can be used. Drawn cup needle rollers are available in two different versions: with both ends open (HK) or with one end is closed for axle end bearings (BK). These are also available sealed on one side (RS) or sealed on both sides (2RS). Normally the cage is made of steel (no marking). Also available with a polyamide cage (TN). |
