The torque measuring element is only loaded during tightening, eliminating the need to reset the wrench. The torque applied to the torque wrench after the "click" sound, or when applying force to release a stuck joint, does not affect the adjustment mechanism and therefore does not damage it. The wrench can also be used for left-handed tightening by reversing the interchangeable head in the wrench.
