Parcel scales for mailing and parcel handling

The weights of parcels and products are weighed and checked extensively in dispatch centers, mailing points and other goods logistics processing points. The capacity of the scale and the size of the weighing platform are selected to suit the application. The clear display with backlight and large numbers makes it easier and faster to read the weighing results. Typically, the reading accuracy of the scale is not a determining selection criterion. Basic tools suitable for basic parcel handling are EOB and FCB, as well as the standard model IOC, especially when larger overload-protected platform sizes and capacities are needed. The standard FCB and IOC models are also acceptable for sales weighing (models with product codes ending in M). Platform scales for packaging and production Platform scales with fixed or removable displays are used very widely in various tasks in product packaging and production. These scales are often required to have higher reading accuracy, versatile functionality and, increasingly, connectivity to the company's information systems, either wired or wireless. The adaptability of a scale used in production to the application is important. The right capacity, reading accuracy, platform size and necessary options can be selected. Versatile adaptability enables the use of the same type of scale in a company in very different applications, so that users always have a familiar user interface with familiar features at their disposal. IOC and FCB high-resolution models and standard models approved for sales weighing (see models under Postage and package handling) are widely used in production weighing tasks when invoicing is based on the weighing result. |
