The torque measurement element is only loaded during tightening, so there is no need to reset the wrench. The torque applied to the torque wrench after the "click" sound, or when force is used to open a stuck joint, does not affect the adjustment mechanism and thus does not damage it. The wrench can also be used for counterclockwise tightening by reversing the quick-release head in the wrench.
