The ST shelving system can also be installed with horizontal beams. The horizontal beam shelving system does not require lateral bracing, as sufficient lateral stability is achieved by using:

- At least three horizontal beam levels in 2000mm high shelves
- At least four horizontal beam levels in 2500mm high shelves
- At least five horizontal beam levels in 3000mm high shelves

Additionally, the ST shelving system shelf levels must be acquired between the horizontal beams, depending on the desired depth. Two shelves measuring 1300mm wide fit sequentially into a 2600mm wide horizontal beam.
