Self-Closing Safety Gate is installed on X-Protect 1160mm high posts and can be configured to open left or right. The gate has a telescopic width and fits post gaps of 690mm - 1210mm. It stays closed through a magnet and counterpart, which prevents the gate from freely swinging open. The spring gate opens approximately 90 degrees, and the direction of opening must be determined during installation. There is no separate lock or handle available from Axelent. If the spring gate is installed at the beginning of a wall or with any post system other than the 1160mm pedestrian-friendly posts, it must be mounted on a 1160mm post, which allows for attachment to the wall-to-impact barrier using a connection pack.

The spring gate must be installed in such a way that the opening direction faces the pedestrian. This ensures that the pedestrian has to stop, subsequently increasing visibility of forklift traffic.
