The powerful brushless motor combined with the high-voltage 40V Makita XGT series battery allows heavy-duty use even when battery powered. Thanks to the adjustable speed, precise finishing grinding at low rotational speed is also possible with this machine.

Very efficient dust extraction when connected to a suitable vacuum cleaner. The remote start function of the vacuum cleaner (AWS) automatically starts the vacuum cleaner via a Bluetooth connection when the grinder is switched on. When the machine is switched off, the vacuum cleaner will also switch off automatically after a few seconds. The front of the dust collar can be turned to the side when sanding next to a wall. The Makita XPT system effectively protects the machine against dust and water.

The package also comes standard with a sanding disc, side handle, and a blade guard for angle grinder use. The Makita AFT system protects the user from possible kickback if the blade jams. A blade brake quickly and safely stops the machine when it is switched off.
